The EXFO FOA-3000 is a fibre optic adapter designed to interface with EXFO optical power meters, enabling use with the BFA-3000 Universal Bare Fiber Adapter. It screws into the channel port of a compatible power meter, allowing the BFA-3000 to be inserted for non-connectorised fibre measurements.

The BFA-3000 Universal Bare Fiber Adapter, used in conjunction with the FOA-3000, is an essential accessory for performing fast, accurate and repeatable power measurements on non-connectorised fibre or components. Its spring-loaded mechanism enables easy, consistent positioning of bare fibres. Bare fibre adapters (BFAs) connect single-core, singlemode or multimode bare fibres to optical power meters.
