The EXFO FLS-110-03P is a 1550 nm polarized optical light source configured for field PMD measurements. This is the C-band model (03P), especially suited to use alongside the EXFO FTB-5500B PMD Analyzer.

The EXFO FLS-110 Optical Polarized Source is a handheld instrument designed for field polarization mode dispersion (PMD) measurements. It is a wide-spectrum polarized LED/SLED source available in two wavelength models — O band (1310 nm, model -02P) and C band (1550 nm, model -03P) — and is especially suited for use with the EXFO FTB-5500B PMD Analyzer.
The instrument offers both CW and 2 kHz modulation modes, enabling it to double as a fibre identification source. It features complete status indicators, a low-battery indicator, and an Auto-Off function to conserve power. High and low power output levels are selectable to maximise battery life.
The FLS-110 provides three complementary power sources: a built-in rechargeable NiCd battery pack, a 9 V alkaline battery backup (automatically engaged when the NiCd pack runs low), and an AC adapter/charger for continuous mains-powered operation. The instrument is housed in a rugged, waterproof enclosure surrounded by a shock-absorbing holster, making it suitable for demanding field environments.
