The HT-30 is a pen-type Visual Fault Locator (VFL) designed for locating faults, breaks, bends, and poor connections in single-mode and multi-mode optical fibre cables. It emits a bright 650nm red laser light which illuminates problem areas along the fibre, making faults clearly visible. The unit features an aluminium alloy body for durability, a dust-proof design to protect the fibre connector, and a slide-switch for mode selection. It operates in both Continuous Wave (CW) and 2Hz pulsed modes and accepts FC, SC, and ST fibre connectors via its 2.5mm universal interface. Typical applications include telecommunications engineering and maintenance, CATV installations, structured cabling systems, and general fibre optic installation and maintenance work.
