The MSA Altair 4X Multi-Gas Detector is a compact, durable personal gas monitor capable of simultaneously detecting up to four atmospheric hazards. Designed for use in confined spaces, industrial facilities, oil and gas environments, and emergency response situations, the Altair 4X combines MSA's advanced XCell sensor technology with a robust housing to deliver fast, accurate readings in demanding conditions.
XCell sensors are engineered to extend sensor life, reduce cross-sensitivity, and recover quickly from exposure to high gas concentrations. The instrument features an audible alarm of 95 dB, bright visual alarms, and a vibrating alarm to ensure alerts are noticed in noisy or low-visibility environments.
The Altair 4X is ATEX and IECEx certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and meets IP67 ingress protection standards for dust and water resistance. It is compatible with the MSA Galaxy GX2 automated test system for bump testing and calibration management, and supports use with the MSA Link Pro software for data logging and compliance reporting.
