The Fujikura 90S+ is a single-fibre core alignment fusion splicer that sets a new standard in the market for fusion splicing. Bristling with new and enhanced features, the 90S+ is designed to help users work faster with higher precision. Market-first fully automated features make the splicing process faster and simpler. Active Fusion Control Technology (AFCT) analyses the condition of the cleave end face to perform optimal fusion control and minimise splice loss. Active Blade Management Technology (ABMT) communicates wirelessly with the CT-50 cleaver to manage blade rotation automatically, improving efficiency and reducing costs. The 90S+ delivers a significant reduction in overall splice process time compared to the previous 70S+ model, achieved through improvements to the automated wind protectors, automated heater, new fibre retention clamps, improved universal sheath clamps, and a redesigned internal structure. The universal sheath clamp handles both loose and tight buffer fibres without the need for additional clamps. The 90S+ is suitable for a wide range of field applications including FTTx drops, MDF/IDF splicing, long-haul terrestrial and submarine LEAF fibres, bend-insensitive fibres in drop cables, and splice-on connectors, as well as certain production environments requiring high output and low splice loss.
The Fujikura CT-50 is a high-precision fibre cleaver featuring automated blade rotation via Bluetooth, a 60,000-fibre blade life (16 positions x 3 heights), single-action operation with integrated scrap collection, and enhanced drop-impact resistance. It is compatible with single fibres and ribbon fibres up to 12 fibres.
