The Fujikura 90S+ is a single-fibre core alignment fusion splicer that sets a new standard in the fusion splicing market. Packed with market-first fully automated features, it is designed to help field technicians work faster and with greater precision. Active Fusion Control Technology (AFCT) analyses the cleave end face in real time to determine the optimal arc power and minimise splice loss, while Active Blade Management Technology (ABMT) wirelessly communicates with the CT-50 cleaver to automatically rotate the blade when wear is detected, maximising blade life and reducing downtime.
The 90S+ delivers a significant reduction in overall splice process time compared to the previous 70S+ model, achieved through faster automated wind protectors and heater response, new fibre retention clamps, and an improved universal sheath clamp that handles both loose and tight buffer fibres without the need for additional accessories. A redesigned internal structure matches the protection sleeve to the fusion splice point, enabling the entire splicing process to be completed without the operator needing to touch the splicer once started.
The 90S+ is suitable for a wide range of applications including distribution fibre repair, long-haul network installation, field termination with splice-on connectors, access network installation, OSP cable installation, and optical module work.

The CT-50 is a high-precision optical fibre cleaver with Bluetooth connectivity for seamless integration with the 90S+ via Active Blade Management Technology. It features motorised automatic blade rotation, single-action cleave-and-collect operation, and a 16-position blade with 3 height settings yielding up to 60,000 single-fibre cleaves. The lid opens 100 degrees for easy fibre placement and it is ruggedised to withstand drops of up to 76cm (30 inches).
