The Fujikura 90S+ is a single-fibre core alignment fusion splicer that sets a new standard in the fusion splicing market. Bristling with new and enhanced features developed to help users work faster with higher precision, the 90S+ incorporates market-first fully automated functionality that makes the splicing process faster and simpler than ever before.
Active Fusion Control Technology (AFCT) analyses the condition of the cleave end face in real time to perform optimal fusion control and minimise splice loss — even for fibres with a poor cleave angle. Active Blade Management Technology (ABMT) communicates wirelessly with the CT-50 cleaver to monitor blade condition and trigger automatic blade rotation when wear is detected, improving the efficiency of the cleaver and reducing costs.
Compared to the previous 70S+ model, the 90S+ delivers a significant reduction in overall splice process time, achieved through improvements to the reaction time of the automated wind protectors and automated heater, new fibre retention clamps, improved universal sheath clamps, and a redesigned internal structure that matches the protection sleeve to the fusion splice point — enabling hands-free splicing once the process has started.
The CT-50 fibre cleaver features motorised Bluetooth blade rotation, a 16-position blade yielding up to 60,000 single-fibre cleaves, drop-resistance up to 76 cm, and single-action operation with integrated fibre off-cut collection.
