Mic is Bio Molecular Systems’ real-time qPCR cycler, built around patented magnetic induction heating with fan-forced air cooling in a rotary format. It is designed for fast cycling and high accuracy, with 35 cycles possible in under 25 minutes and typical runs completed in under 40 minutes, while maintaining strong well-to-well temperature uniformity (model dependent). Mic uses a fixed optical path with independent high-intensity LEDs and photodiode detectors per channel, acquires all channels simultaneously, and is available in 2- or 4-channel configurations, with no optical alignment or calibration required and no need for reference dyes or crosstalk compensation.

The system runs 48 samples using 0.1 mL strips of four tubes, supporting 5–30 µL reaction volumes. The tube format includes a pre-loaded oil overlay to reduce evaporation and condensation, removing the need for a heated lid, and the rotary design supports spinning samples down at the start of a run. The instrument footprint is compact (about 150 × 150 × 130 mm, lid open to 265 mm) and lightweight (about 2.1 kg), with USB 2.0 or Bluetooth connectivity and 100–240 VAC input for use in the lab or on the go.

Mic’s analysis software is designed to meet MIQE specifications and provides statistical analysis as soon as a run completes, including combining up to 10 runs (up to 480 samples) into a single dataset for analysis. Bio Molecular Systems also states a replacement warranty: 3 years standard, with an option to extend up to 5 years in eligible regions.

• Shipping Times: Mainland UK: 1-2 Business Days / Mainland Europe and USA: 2-3 Business Days / Rest of the World 5-7 Business Days.
• Shipping Costs: These are calculated at checkout based on the shipping method, destination and package dimensions.
• CUSTOMS AND TAXES: It is YOUR responsibility to liaise with customs in your country and ensure your package is cleared and any taxes are paid.
• Shipping Destinations: We ship worldwide.
• Tracking: Once your order is shipped, we will provide you with a tracking number via email.
• Insurance: All shipments are insured. In case of damage, please contact us via email within 48 hours of receiving the product with photographic evidence, please also ensure a report is logged with the delivery driver.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is 'not as specified', you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, the email should accompany the order number, date and reason for return and must be within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than 'not as specified'.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
• Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the item is 'not as specified', in this case we will arrange for the return by way of a prepaid shipping label.
