The Associated Research HYAMP III 3160 is a microprocessor-controlled ground bond tester and the highest-current model in the HYAMP III series, designed for electrical safety compliance testing of products with higher input current ratings. It features an enhanced graphic LCD with an intuitive menu system that guides operators from set-up through to results, eliminating the need for cryptic abbreviations. The patented VERI-CHEK® feature prompts users through steps to validate the instrument's operation, while CAL-ALERT® automatically alerts the operator when recalibration is due.

The 3160 delivers a regulated AC output across the full 1–60 A range at a fixed 9 V AC, and employs four-wire (Kelvin) measurement with milliohm offset capability to cancel contact and lead resistance, ensuring accurate ground bond results. An electronic dwell timer provides consistent, repeatable test durations. Up to 10 memory programs (with 3 steps per memory) allow test parameters to be stored and recalled quickly for production-line efficiency. PLC remote control via dual 9-pin D-type connectors enables fully automated test integration.

The instrument can be used stand-alone or interconnected with an Associated Research HYPOT III hipot tester to form a comprehensive electrical safety compliance test system, with sequential (G→W) or simultaneous (G+W) test modes available.

• Insurance: All shipments are insured. In case of damage, please contact us via email within 48 hours of receiving the product with photographic evidence, please also ensure a report is logged with the delivery driver.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is 'not as specified', you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, the email should accompany the order number, date and reason for return and must be within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than 'not as specified'.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
• Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the item is 'not as specified', in this case we will arrange for the return by way of a prepaid shipping label.
