The Applied Biosystems StepOnePlus Real-Time PCR System is a 96-well quantitative PCR instrument designed to deliver precise, quantitative real-time PCR results for a wide variety of genomic research applications. Suitable for both novice and experienced users, the system is factory-calibrated for optical and thermal accuracy and ships ready to use out of the box.

The StepOnePlus utilises a long-life LED-based 4-colour optical system capable of recording fluorescence from FAM/SYBR Green, VIC/JOE, NED/TAMRA, and ROX dyes. It can discriminate between two populations of 5,000 and 10,000 template copies of a TaqMan assay with 99.7% confidence and features a linear dynamic range of greater than 9 log units with single-copy sensitivity.

The VeriFlex Block technology provides 6 independently controllable thermal zones across the 96-well block, enabling convenient PCR optimisation without additional instruments. The system supports both Fast (<40 min) and Standard (<2 hr) run modes and can be operated standalone (PC-free), connected directly to a PC, or via a networked LAN connection.

The included StepOne Software provides full instrument control, data collection, and analysis, including High Resolution Melt (HRM) analysis, and supports export in RDML format for MIQE guideline compliance.
