The AOIP RN 5306 is an onsite portable rugged safety ohmmeter dedicated to the control and testing of electro-pyrotechnical devices and initiators. It is designed to provide all necessary safety conditions required for resistance measurements where operator safety is critical, making it suitable for use in pyrotechnical, aerospace, defence, and demolition environments.

The instrument supports both 2-wire and 4-wire measurement configurations with automatic range selection, enabling accurate low-resistance continuity testing while eliminating the influence of lead resistance in 4-wire mode.

Key safety features ensure the instrument cannot inadvertently trigger pyrotechnic devices:
— Terminal voltage is kept below 1 V in open circuit
— Before measurement commences, current is maintained below 0.5 mA
— In the event of a single internal fault, current is always limited to less than 5 mA
— In the event of two simultaneous internal faults, current never exceeds 10 mA

The rugged IP 65-rated housing protects against dust ingress and water jets, making the RN 5306 suitable for harsh field conditions. Its lightweight construction and exceptional battery autonomy of up to 400 hours make it ideal for prolonged onsite use without access to mains power.

Annual calibration and safety function verification is recommended by the manufacturer.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is 'not as specified', you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, the email should accompany the order number, date and reason for return and must be within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than 'not as specified'.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
• Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the item is 'not as specified', in this case we will arrange for the return by way of a prepaid shipping label.
