The Viavi MTS 6000A V2 is a compact, rugged, touchscreen mainframe platform designed for field fibre optic network testing. Paired with the 8126C single-mode OTDR module, it delivers high-performance reflectometric measurement for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of optical fibre infrastructure.

The 8126C module supports dual-wavelength testing at 1310 and 1550 nm with a dynamic range of up to 47.5 dB, enabling testing of long-haul and metro fibre links up to 400 km. The APC connector interface and an event dead zone of just 0.5 m make it suitable for both short and extended fibre spans.

The FCOMP (Fiber Complete) software option automates bi-directional OTDR acquisition, combining results from both ends of a fibre to produce averaged, standards-compliant insertion loss (IL) and optical return loss (ORL) measurements — eliminating the need for manual data merging.
