The Sandvik Coromant TNMG 160408-SM 1105 is a triangular negative carbide turning insert from the T-Max P range, designed for external and internal turning of steel components. The SM chipbreaker geometry provides controlled chip formation and smooth cutting action, making it ideal for finishing to semi-finishing operations. Grade 1105 features a CVD-coated carbide substrate offering a combination of high wear resistance and toughness, suitable for continuous and mildly interrupted cuts in steel and cast iron.

The TNMG double-sided insert design provides 6 cutting edges per insert, offering excellent economy. The insert is compatible with standard TNMG toolholders and boring bars.
