Known Issues

• The touchscreen for the head unit works but may need repair - the cursor intermittently snaps back to the centre of the screen

The CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System is a fully integrated digital radiography platform designed to bring the capabilities of a fixed X-ray room directly to the patient — at the bedside, in the ICU, OR, or Emergency Department. It features the world's first fully automatic collapsible column, which shrinks the system height for clear operator visibility when navigating hallways and crowded clinical spaces. The dual motor drive enables effortless movement in forward and reverse, and the system can complete a 360-degree turn with one-handed steering.

Imaging is powered by a 32 kW high-frequency generator with a dual focal spot X-ray tube and EVP Plus image processing to deliver high-quality diagnostic images with fewer retakes. Two touchscreen displays — one at the main console and one at the tube head — create dual work zones that replicate a stationary DR room environment. The system is built around Carestream's X-Factor wireless detector platform, allowing the DRX Plus detector to be shared seamlessly across all DRX family systems.

The DRX Plus 3543C detector is Carestream's third-generation wireless cassette-sized detector, featuring a deposited caesium iodide (CsI) scintillator optimised for paediatric and dose-sensitive applications. It offers higher DQE for improved image quality at lower dose, an IP57-rated enclosure for protection against dust and liquid ingress, and hot-swap battery capability for uninterrupted workflow.
