The Viavi (formerly JDSU) E126B-APC SmartOTDR is an affordable, easy-to-use handheld fibre tester designed for technicians at any level. The lightweight and compact SmartOTDR speeds and optimises field testing of metro and access singlemode networks, featuring a tailored OTDR interface and automatic analysis that any technician can understand. Generic or user-defined setup configurations eliminate setup errors and maintain results consistency. One-touch operation and a single results window ensure fast and easy measurements, while robust wireless connectivity options increase productivity in the field.
The SmartOTDR automates fibre inspection and macrobend detection with pass/fail analysis software, and can be upgraded easily in the field. Optional SmartAccess Anywhere (SAA) enables remote access via a cloud tunnel, and the instrument supports a wide range of WebDAV cloud servers. Onboard FastReport PDF generation allows instant sharing of measurement results from the field.
