With a 0.9 m event dead zone, 4 m attenuation dead zone, and a measurement range of up to 260 km, it is well-suited to short and medium-haul fibre qualification, FTTH testing through PON splitters up to 1x32, and installation or maintenance of metro and metro-access networks including wireless backhaul and CWDM applications. The module features automated bend detection, instantaneous traffic detection on live fibre, and can be combined with Triple-Play, xDSL, Copper, and CWDM OSA modules.

The Viavi (formerly JDSU) 4126 MAE S is an Enhanced Metro-Access (MAE) singlemode OTDR module designed for use with compatible Viavi MTS/T-BERD modular test platforms. It delivers industry-leading 40/38 dB dynamic range at 1310/1550 nm, making it suitable for the full range of metro, metro-access, and FTTx network testing scenarios including P2P Ethernet, PON, and next-generation PON (NG-PON).

The module was the first OTDR to integrate a true Loss Test Set (LTS) function, combining reflectometry and optical loss measurement in a single module. It features instantaneous traffic detection when connecting to a live fibre, minimising disruption during in-service testing. Automated bend detection assists with fault localisation and network qualification.

The 4126 MAE S supports FTTH testing through PON splitters of up to 1x32, and is compatible with optional Triple-Play, xDSL, Copper, and CWDM OSA modules for multi-technology testing from a single platform.

Returns Policy

• Return Period: In the event of an item being received which is 'not as specified', you can return your purchase within 14 days of delivery.
• Condition of Items: Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
• Return Method: All returns must be notified in writing to hello@ttinstruments.com, the email should accompany the order number, date and reason for return and must be within 14 days of delivery.
• Restocking Fees: A restocking fee of up-to 20% is applicable for items returned for any reason other than 'not as specified'.
• Refund Method: Refunds are processed to the original method of payment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges. It will either be a replacement or a refund.
• Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the item is 'not as specified', in this case we will arrange for the return by way of a prepaid shipping label.
