The VIAVI (formerly JDSU) E98LGX2W162SA is a passive optical LGX box module integrating two 1625 nm WDM (wavelength-division multiplexer) filters with SC/APC connectorisation. LGX-format modules are designed for installation into standard 1U or 2U LGX-compatible patch panel chassis, providing a clean and modular approach to fibre management and signal routing in telecommunications and data centre environments.

The 1625 nm wavelength is the ITU-standard out-of-band monitoring wavelength used for in-service fibre testing with OTDRs and optical monitoring equipment, allowing network operators to test live fibres without interrupting traffic carried on C-band, L-band, or 1310/1550 nm wavelengths.
