The Kaelus RTF-1000A Ranger is an 800 MHz PIM and Range To Fault (RTF) device module operating across 698–960 MHz. It is compatible with the following Kaelus iQA PIM Analyser models: 700L, 700H, 850, 900, and 901. The RTF-1000A enables operators to accurately measure the location of PIM and Return Loss faults in RF infrastructure by combining reflection data with PIM data, providing an unmatched level of fault identification clarity.

The RTF system performs a low-power Return Loss vs. distance measurement prior to activating high-power PIM test tones, warning the operator if peak Return Loss exceeds a user-specified threshold — a key safety feature when feed systems are open for repair. Four graphical views are available: Basic (distance and magnitude of the largest PIM fault), PIM vs. Distance, Return Loss vs. Distance, and an Overlay (OVL) mode showing both on a single screen with independent markers.

It enables wireless network operators to accurately locate passive intermodulation (PIM) and Return Loss faults within RF feed systems, combining PIM and reflection data for superior fault identification. Compatible iQA models include the 700L, 700H, 850, 900, and 901. Existing A and B-series iQA instruments can be factory upgraded to support RTF measurements.
