The Viavi (formerly JDSU) T-BERD 6000A is a professional, modular field test platform built around a large touchscreen interface and designed for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fibre optic networks. Its modular architecture accepts a range of interchangeable test modules, enabling technicians to carry a single mainframe and configure it for multiple fibre measurement tasks in the field.

The 8126B singlemode OTDR module provides dual-wavelength operation at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, delivering high dynamic range and precise event detection for both short- and long-haul singlemode fibre spans. The SMART TEST automated test capability simplifies pass/fail testing for field technicians, while the integrated Power Meter and Source functions eliminate the need for separate instruments on-site.
