The Cytiva (formerly GE Healthcare) Sepax C-Pro Cell Processing System is an automated, functionally closed instrument designed to support GMP-compliant cell therapy manufacturing. Comprised of the instrument, Sepax C-Pro protocol software, and single-use kits, the system allows operators to combine multiple processing steps in a versatile and flexible manner. Supported operations include enrichment, magnetic bead incubation, spinoculation, concentration, washing, dilution, and splitting — covering both upstream cell selection and downstream harvest and formulation steps.

The Sepax C-Pro utilises a rotating separation chamber driven by an electric centrifugation motor and pneumatic piston drive. Optical line sensing and pressure monitoring ensure precise process control throughout each run. The instrument runs Windows XP Embedded with a proprietary GMAP application and is compatible exclusively with Sepax C-Pro protocol software.

Data management is simplified through barcode traceability, PDF report generation, and internal storage for up to 32 log files, 50 PAT files, and 50 report files. The system integrates with Cytiva's Chronicle manufacturing automation software for remote monitoring, alarm transmission, and eSOP incorporation.
