This is a used Fluke 1653B Multifunction Installation Tester in good cosmetic condition, showing normal signs of field use. The unit has been tested and is confirmed working.

The 1653B covers all tests required by BS 7671 (17th Edition) and IEC 60364, including insulation resistance at five test voltages (50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 V DC), low-resistance continuity, no-trip loop impedance, high-current loop impedance, RCD trip time and trip current testing (types AC, A, G and S), earth resistance measurement, phase rotation indication, and live voltage / wiring polarity checking. The dual display allows PEFC/PSC and loop impedance to be read simultaneously.

The Fluke 1653B Multifunction Installation Tester verifies the safety of electrical installations in domestic, commercial and industrial applications, ensuring fixed wiring is correctly installed to meet IEC 60364, HD 384, and BS 7671 17th Edition requirements.

The 1653B builds upon the rugged reputation of the earlier 1650 Series with redesigned functionality for faster, more productive testing. Key features include a dual display that shows PEFC/PSC and loop impedance simultaneously, saving over 50% of test time compared to conventional loop testers. A new high-current loop mode delivers faster measurements than the non-trip mode. The unique zero adapter provides reliable test lead and mains cord resistance compensation. The Earth Volt Touchpad detects raised earth voltages above 50 V, warning of potentially dangerous conditions. Extended memory allows storage and download of results to FlukeView DMS software for certificate production. The instrument weighs less than 1.3 kg and withstands a 1-metre drop.
